The linear progression of my artwork officially derailed in 2000 when we lost our live/work space of 15 years. Also by then we were working as designers and raising 2 kids.

This painting started at 11th Street then finished at Hayes Street some 10 years later. It’s got it all, Judith and her maid with Holofernes head in a basket, (ref Artemisia Gentileschi), Le déjeuner sur l’herbe reference, Japanese style panels, 3D emojis (before emojis were a thing).

Graphic elements were making their way into the art work, while art elements were showing up in my design work. (Below a still from the 3D animation Mr. Botto’s Afternoon)
